I got pulled for a set I had and the copper was certain they we're illegal even through I had a little card from the supplier saying they were legal and they reflected light. Couldn't be arsed with the hassle to prove otherwise so just removed them.
To be fair to him he pulled me at night and the first thing he says was do you have pressed plates, he hadn't walked round the car at that point so I thought they must of interfered with his anpr for him to know I had them.
Just giving you a heads up.

They are legal if they have a postcode of the manufacturer at the bottom
And the spaces are right and the colour i.e. Yellow and white
Not black ( unless your car is old )
One of the people making them at s/pod did legal ones
And they asked before hand if you wanted legal ones or not

Yep there's loads of places you can get them from. I've bought plates for three cars over the last year or so (not pressed ones though), and all are fully legal with all relevant markings, correct fonts etc. Not had to produce a single document.
