Default Car won't start after 4yrs off road, any ideas???

I'm getting my car back on the road again (Cossie engine) but having trouble getting it started.
It was running when it was taken off road, and hasn't really had anything done that should stop it from running again.

I've done all the usual, new oil & filter, new fuel & filter, new cambelt, new plugs.....

When I first tried it the fuel pump wasn't working (Bosch 044) but a couple of light taps with the hammer and it started and has been fine since.

There's fuel at the rail and coming out the return hose, will pressure test at the rail tomorrow.

It's got a spark and there's power at the injectors.
It turns over fine but just spins, doesn't try to start, not even a splutter.

Do you think the fuel pump could be fucked where it had seized? Even tho it's running back to the tank fine
Or could the injectors have seized up? (All 4 at once? Even if 1 worked it would cough/splutter trying to start)

Any other ideas? What else could I check?

Everything is as it was when I stopped using it?

Put a small amount of easy start into the intake when cranking, if it fires on that, then it's fuel related.
I'd say the injectors have probably packed in, the solenoids have probably seized.

Pull the fuel rail and check the injectors are spraying fuel, I but they're gummed up. They can be rescued by ultrasonic cleaning.

Gadget, tried that with brake fluid and didn't really help,
Also took the plugs out and they didn't seem very wet with fuel, tried heating them up and trying again, no joy.

Martin, that was my next thing to try today after checking fuel pressure, I think the pumps ok as there's a lot returning to the tank.

I didn't think all 4 would have stopped but it does look more like that than anything else at the mo.

Don't be so sure, I had 8 stop on an LS engine that had sat for around the same time. After ultrasonic cleaning they were all fine and the engine started.

I'd swap the plugs, check again for spark and swap crank sensor. When you say it has power at injectors, do you mean it also has the switched earth, that's what it needs to operate them. Use a noid light or sidelight bulb and it should flash.

Fair enough, well they're all coming out today and will get them down the local cleaning shop if they need it.
Cheers Martin.

Rog, yes I have connected a noid bulb and it pulses while cranking.
The plugs are brand new, never used apart from 10 mins of cranking yesterday.
If the injectors prove to be ok I will check the crank sensor next.

Yep, £20 (that's a full tank )of brand new esso super

Fuel pressure was ok, took injectors out and only 2 were firing and badly.
Took them to my local injector people and 3 are now fine but 1s dead.
If anyone has 1 grey injector for sale please let me know.
