I was always under the impression all the chip did was remove the boost limit ..I'm just reading on FB that Ahmed bajoo chip actually removed the boost limit and created a ignition curve thus making them the best chips to have ..is this true by any chance.

I beleive so yeah pretty much everything the late ahmed put his name to was possibally the best certainly at the time. I run one in my s2 but it aint been on the road for 9 years.

With an educated guess, I would say that all of them have remapped ignition curves.

Most do not some aren't even a chip just a frequency limiter wired into the map sensor

Back years ago some of the strongest feeling rs turbo chipped with a stainless air filter and alloy cooler was yours Tony and Collins ..they just felt more punchy if you get me .

Interesting, should a good one not have a suitable ignition curve though (in the same way as other remaps do)?

I'm sure the information supplied with my BBR chip stated it had a modified ignition curve.
