Default fire at rainbirds?

seen a few fb posts about what looks like the rainbird place going up in flames

is everyone ok?

more than a few cars melted though

Ive seen the pics, im not 100% sure but it looked lije there was a escort cossie on 1 of the ramps and a few customers GTRs including an r35 have gone up

Sad pics As far as I know Mike doesn't have a facility like that so I'd say it's nothing to do with him.

Gutted, there has been some heat in there....sad for anyone who has lost their car and hope it was all well insured.

RB motorsport is near Ecclestone ooop north, Rainbird is Norwhich i think.

And google maps of RB motorsport seems to show a facility similar to the pics.

Not good news either way tho

That's bad and a sad sight wot a lot of ŁŁ
gone up in smoke I'm so glad I do all my work my self .
and all it takes for that to happen is one disgruntled customer . Do hope every one gets payed out

I expect it was just an electrical fault, you only need one wire to Earth out or component fail / fuel line pop off and squirt a hot turbo and it all escalates very quickly....especially on a high pressure fuel system.

Most places have welding equipment so that always adds to the danger.
At work we always stop any welding half hour before closure to ensure no issues and all stuff is turned off inc bottles. Their are so many issues that can cause this.

Hope all is insured correctly as most is on trade insurance which is not worth the paper its written on.

Good points.

I often have have a good check around after grinding or welding to see if any rubbish in bins etc could be smouldering. Then maybe 9 at night I go out to garage and have a quick check....the wife takes the piss and tells our friends that I say good night to my cars.
