There are some out there Glenn, about 12 years ago I had to go and see someone fairly local to me whose road leads into the New Forest about new windows. It was a house with a big garden which had a couple of big garages and sheds on the property.
Sorted out his windows and we got talking about cars as he had some photos in frames on his lounge wall of Mk 2 Lotus Cortinas. I told him I owned one years ago and he said "do you want to see mine"? We went out to one of his garages and he opened the double doors and it was full of everything you can think of and underneath old carpets and timber there was a red 1968 Mk2 lotus Cortina!! It hadnt been on the road for a long time he told me but although it was dusty it looked in good condition with no rust that I could see.I was getting pretty excited by this time and of course asked him if he would sell it to me! No chance unfortunately as he said it was going to be for his Grandson!! Bugger!! I would have loved to have bought it and got it on the road again. I often walk past the house and wonder if it is back on the road with his Grandson.

Mk5 fiestas are getting thin on the ground these days. I seen a mint mk4 the other day. The rear arches looked mint.

I was on the A34 coming back towards Winchester yesterday and passed a car with a trailer which had a definite real barn find on it. It was an old MGtf from the 40s or 50s covered in dirt and some rusty bits that looked like it had been stored somewhere for a very long time!
