Im sure its a belt cause it will be the peugeot engine.

Yep,belt as Glen said. Due every 10 years or 125000 miles. Takes about 2 hours to change.

Its actually got both! a belt to drive one camshaft from the crank, and a chain between both cams!
service interval for changing the belt is 125k /10 years
