Default 1989 2.0EFI Ford sierra Fuel Pump

All of a sudden my car died a minute after i started it and straight away i could tell the fuel pump isn't priming to make certain i took off the line going into the injector rail and it was completely dry when trying to start. What colour wires in the boot go to the fuel pump? Does anyone have any other ideas on what it could be?

Is your engine the dohc or the pinto? Is your fuel pump underneath.

It could be a sticking fuel pump relay.

I had converted the car and the 1.8 shell didn't have the cut off so i just bypassed it by soldering the wires so i dont think its that! Its DOHC the pump is actually in the tank!

Perhaps give a little more detail than "straight away i could tell the fuel pump isn't priming"..

Because I'm sure you've had multiple threads before for this same vehicle where it has never run ?

Does the pump run ? ever ?
Is the pump capable of running and pumping fuel ?

Ya the car had been running perfect prior to stalling and not starting again. The fuel pump wasn't priming when the key was turned to the on position and when i was trying to start it still wasn't pumping. What are the color of the wires that run to the pump do you know?

no idea, just look at the pump/connector and test them.

pull the wires from the pump test for supply. test when engine is being cranked some pumps dont get a supply untill. then check fuses/ relays. check fuse box hasnt melted
