Hi everybody, hope all is well.
I have just got off phone to guy who I came across on the internet who is breaking a car the same as mine ( 2006 ford focus 1.8 tdci). I am after the turbo oil feed pipe.
There is a bit of confusion on which pipe my car requires, I remember a few months back somebody told me it looks as though the wrong turbo is fitted to my car.
is it possible that a wrong turbo can be fitted to a car ? I'm thinking it's not possible as surely it just would not fit ?
I ask because I don't want to buy the correct pipe if the wrong turbo is fitted .

okay please tell me, what one piece of advice given here would help me ?
I DO NOT THINK I COULD FIND TURBO NUMBER AS TURBO IS OUT OF SIGHT UNDER EGR MANIFOLD.
WEITHOUT TURBO NUMBER I CANNOT RING FORD AND ASK IF IT IS CORRECT TURBO FROM THE NUMBER ON IT

You do need to realise that Martin Hadland is one of the old and the bold, a seriously experienced car nut and one of the main men in the "tuner wars", he has a vast knowledge of motors and knows his onions with this stuff. He can fix your problems but you are not listening to the advice given.

Its pretty simple, the pipe you have just remove it. Just screw a bolt into the hole on the block for the feed to stop oil leaking as this is not required. The turbo does not need the oil feed and will happily run without 1. Saves you money and another 10 days effort fitting the new 1
