Doesn't sound like you have any other option than to try it.

I think someone said to me that 20mm was enough

20mm sounds incredibly low, unless it's one seriously stiff track car with very little travel.

I have just ordered springs of 100 Lb less on my 205 to do a comparison, it will be interesting to see how this changes things on mine. I am trying 250 front and 200 rear...it is 350 front at the moment and a standard 1.9gti is only at 100 ish front.

Ye be interesting to see the difference spring rates have, I have 180lbs on rear, I could get away with a 225lbs. Could then get away with lowering height a bit and gain some more droop.

That's what I thought Steve but I don't know enough about it, found a forum that boys where running only 10mm on track cars, mine is road mainly, I would like to see a couple inch to be honest but I don't know enough about it, I have 55mm off travel before my wheels hit arches, so have added correct size bump stops so it can only travel 50 ish. Don't think it will travel that far tho to be honest, if it doesn't at least I could gain droop.

Sounds like a very very small range of suspension travel all round ?

It's due to my Rs7 spokes, to clear shock I need to use 10mm spacers. Then I'm flush with the arch so that's my limit, I would raise height but I would need longer stroke coilovers, I might go down that route yet. Christian beccy had same problem and got shocks extended 30mm but he had no droop at all. So thinking 25mm doesn't sound a lot but might be 👌

You might want to send the suspension to Leda via Jonfoc on here and get is all dynoed along with some cornerweights etc and he can get some new ones built up.
