I'd of been mortified
I remember working in an accident and repair place as a kid, I hadn't work there long and I was on the spanners, I was walking past a newly repaired and painted polo gti holding my torque wrench with short extension and socket on the end, the thing decided to fall off right as I was next to the bonnet and put a dent in it right next to the badge, I was so worried to tell anyone I did what work I needed and put it out in the car park and tried to blag it wasn't me I felt really guilty but the boss was an arse hole and I was still very wet behind the ears
That car was a jinx as i remember getting pulled over to one side and asking if I had put the pads in the wrong way round to this day I still think someone either played a trick on me or tried to sabotage me.
The boss was an utter tnuc, I rember being given a car that had just come out the oven and the paint was still soft then given an hour to put the wing and bumper on plus headlights and stuff iirc and I nudged the paint with the door and it pulled, and he gave me a right bollocking, I hated the bloke with a passion to be fair, a real bully.

Thank you for clarifying.
I'ts appalling how a lot of garages mistreat people's car. I hope no damage was caused to your vehicle, if any was occurred I hope you report it and get your car repaired along with some sort of compensation for the inconvenience.
take care

I struggled to read that lol, had to try and insert my own commas and full stops.
On a serious note and as a tech i treat every car i step into like its my own, always seat covers, floor mats and clean gloves.

,
If your worried about taking your car to a body shop, why dont you just take the damaged door off and take that to be repaired? Ive done it with a bonnet before as I didn't fancy leaving it.

Using a tapley meter is a common thing with lsd equipped cars and 4wds with one roller spinning on the driven axle while the other is still or much slower, the car can jump off or damage the diff
