The funny thing I've all ways used standard bolts and I've got a new set now .
Well it's a bit of bad look to why the head is off again as I had had my fill of the anti pump tappets I put in witch are 100% shit . Any way I moved the car to put it into the garage to put some new tappets in well as it's been some time since I had driven it I tuck it for a spin . All good pulled up at home lifted the garage door started putting it in the garage and it cut out and it would not re start
so checked it over and as I'm using pegged pullys well the bolt come lose on the inlet cam and move the timing 180 deg and killed all the inlet valves

Sounds a bit of a nightmare, are you using an aftermarket oil cooler aswell as the standard oil modine or is that a remote filter take off?

Ah i see now. Now that is bad luck.
I would also ditch the oil cooler and tbh it don't even need a modine just a filter like a good old pinto.
Mine runs near that power and torque on std head bolts and a 94k engine. So once sorted it will be fine.
Are you using cams? Or just verniers to get timing spot on due the head skim or block face?
I always use blue loctite on cam sprockets just in case.
