I have well over 800 transactions on there all through paypal. One failed to deliver, Paypal refunded me without question. I use it every week sometimes several times. I always pay after delivery. Stevie im neither a fool or naive fella.

And as you'll know reading the forums.....there are many many people who have been scammed both as sellers and buyers via Paypal and lost their money.
Often genuine sellers losing money because of Paypal/Ebay's tending to favour the buyer almost regardless of the circumstances.

And it only takes one bad transaction, to leave people at a total loss regardless of dozens or even hundreds of good transactions.

Paypal is in no way safe, but it is bloody convenient. As with any transaction there are risks...Paypal might shift some of those risks, and sometimes even the wrong way, but there are still risks.

how do you get ebay sellers to send you the goods then pay after delivery? I've yet to see anyone on ebay that will do that

Mayjor sellers, mostly companies sometimes offer a "pay after delivery" option. All it means is paypal wont take the money until the estimated time it'll take to be delivered. It makes it easier on potentially returnable items without the money being taken/returned etc. Its also a sign of good faith and give you confidence in the legtimacy of the seller.

It's all covered by paypal so the money WILL be taken, it just puts a delay on it.

Its an option in paypal but I believe the seller has to have opted to use it.

It's only once you go through check out on some items can you choose "Pay after Delivery".

You need to turn on pay after delivery, but then you can do it for every transaction you make. The seller still gets paid by PayPal immediately, but the money isn't taken from you until 2 weeks after.

Its a bit harder to keep track of what is spent on ebay if you use it a lot, I turned the pay after delivery off.

Been using the" pay after delivery" for a long time on E-bay , nothing wrong with it at all.
