How much power would you need in a Skyline to do 200mph?
not down brunters or anything
on the road, so obviously a bit more room.
skyline, 32 or 33, what sort of power would you need to see the magic 200mph?????????????????????

Around 700 in a Cossie so over 750 in a Skyline I guess. If you think its possible to do this on the road in any way safely you have never driven at close to 200mph.
The Rocket did 205.8 at Brunters with circa 900bhp. At this speed a mile takes around 16s.

My mate here has an R33 with 617KW, can't find the BHP converter though.
He hasnt top speed tested it to my knowledge but can do the quarter in 10.47 @ 137mph if thats any use.

Ronnies car was 650HP when he got that 205 run in and has even done 209
Shins MINES engined GTR has done over 200 and that had 580HP
Even Bladeriders car has done 200 and that had about 600HP
And none of them used NOS either
There are loads of GTRS that do 200 that havent got anywhere near 900HP

steve, deano, whats the usual rev limit on skylines then as a guy on there reckons 8400+ is needed for 200mph.

But yeah 8400 is a sensible limit unless you add an ATI crank damper or something similiar

jus look at Norris designs evo.. then look at Rocket ronnies liner.. but i think the only reason ronnie got 209 is because he was using a new Nitrous injection system.. if he didnt have that i dont think it woulda got past 190 - 200.. liners are the cheapest cars for car parts if they break.. So choose products wisely.. if ya steppin up the BHP step up the mechinal parts to..

With regards to ronnys car its the ultimate road car imo..GOOD AT EVERYTHING not just one discipline...
And the 200mph thing well who cares as there's so many 200+ mph skylines to choose from

i dont no ma shit.. im just repeating what i saw and heard on the 200+ DVD that came with redline.. i know ronnie was using some uprated parts.. i was sayin it as an example.. as he says... 'The gearbox cant hold its own..' thats why he is getting a seqential...
