Default what brake caliper grease...?

....twice in the last 6 months ive had to strip down and grease the caliper sliders as theyre drying out and sticking.just done it 2 weeks ago and now one of the rears is sticking again and generating excess heat.
I'm using carlube LM2 multi purpose high melting point grease, whats better to use?

I use silicone grease for the sliders and graphite grease for pads.
Are you sure it's the sliders that are stuck and not the piston ?

I've always used copper grease from when I was an apprentice back in the 90's things may well have changed since but not for me and I've never had a problem

Copper grease is good for many things, problem is that it eats rubber so not ideal for brakes, especially the sliders.
I was also an apprentice in the 90's and we also used copper grease for almost anything

Buy new sliders. They are plated to help stop them corroding, I should imagine over time the plating has worn away. Copper slip will be fine. The backs of most new pads have an anti vibration coating so you shouldn't need to grease the backs of the pads, but make sure the bit of the caliper that the pad hooks into is really well cleaned up with a wire brush and given a smear of copper grease.

On the sliders I use carlube multi purpose silicone grease (it's also a dielectric grease)

It seems to be doing an ok job, when I changed the pads recently the sliders were still moving freely after 18 months. Only trouble is it's quite runny so is messy.

As mentioned above, there could be some other underlying issue like corrosion that's making it recur.
