TDCI Sump drain modification.
As it's well known the sump on the PSA/Ford HDI/TDCI engine is not letting all the oil out when removing the plug.
I'm going to make a tool for mine that "pulls" the plug down so all the oil will run out and was just wandering if such a tool is already available anywhere ?
If not,i'm having a go at it tomorrow hopefully and was thinking as it's something i'll obviously only need to do once, why not pass it around here on the forum ?
I don't want anything for the tool, but thought that if each "buyer" pays the previous guy £5-10 ? for postage then it could just circulate round.
Any thoughts ?

Yes it's a very bad design, after i pulled the plug down on mine i reckon i got around 0.3 to 0.5 liter of dirty oil out that would otherwise have been mixed with the new oil.

Use an oil extractor, the only gripe with tdci is you still need to get underneath for the filter, my oil extractor was one of the best things i'v bought, the only thing with the tdci was I had to remove some of the black outer sheathing on the semi rigid hose so it would get to the bottom of the sump.
