Default Ford fair tickets

Kelsey have announced that stand passes and prebooked show tickets will now be e-tickets to print at home now and will be emailed to relevant people the Friday before the show.

What a absolute shower of shit that is.

Sure hope they will send them a bit sooner than that.
We are coming over on Thursday and need the e-tickets printed out beforehand.

The e-tickets for the ferry are no problem, got them almost a month ago.

We`ll see, maybe they don`t make a mess of it like last year.
Got my tickets delivered, the end of August....

If i don`t have them by the end of next week, i`ll be contacting them..

its the way kelsey operate now and I dont like it as its more about fleecing us rather than for the good of the ford scene. I just started a input thread which you should all voice your opinions on as I will be sending its contents to kelseys events team

What about those who don't have access to a printer?

Mine needs a new cartridge and I'm not about to spend £110 on one just to print out some tickets

You do have an expensive printer then.
My Canon takes cheap cartridges(less than 1 quid each online..)

Just don`t want to have the same hassle as last year, where no one seemed to know how to get my tickets(luckily i took proof of purchase and the e-mail conversation with them with me..)

Especially since now the stand passes also are e-tickets..

How hard can it be to e-mail the tickets a week or more in advance?
They are person bound,so no chance they will get copied.

just keep my fingers crossed

lets hope they actually email them out in good time, theres so many things about their new system which is based on greed rather than making things run smoother, like a £2 booking fee from every ticket ordered and then they make you print your own tickets which is cheeky, then club organisers are kept waiting on print outs to actually know who will be attending etc, its a shitty system aimed at them making money not looking after any of us

I noticed the booking fee! £2, for what???? And I understand what you are saying, hopefully things will work, but I far prefer to see the tickets posted.

perhaps its nail polish that may scratch from pressing a button on their keyboard, if anything we should get a reduction as we have to use our own paper and ink and yes a proper car pass and ticket would be nice , the last year future publishing ran ford fair in 2014 they gave us free stickers too, kelsey = money

Well if don't get my tickets in time, they are in for a big ruckus at the gate.
As no way i'm going to move my car without them giving me my tickets.

If everyone else is going to do that,it will be a quite big mess.

Tbh, would be the first time i did get my tickets in time.

I've booked the tickets and stand passes for our Rs group.
I've had the email confirmation about who and what cars are on our stand, all those tickets will be emailed to me and if they come on the Friday before the show I'll have to print them on the Friday night and run round like a daft cunt making sure everyone has there's on the Saturday morning as most are travelling down Saturday lunch time.
So how many scenarios can I think of that'll chuck a spanner in the works and the whole fucking thing ends up fubar

Surely they have to be emailed a week before hand just so it's not all left to the last minute madness...

exactly mate im in the same boat with around 30 tickets, lucky for me I got the other 40ish to book direct but its still a very shoddy system aimed at making them money but giving us arseache

they will have to print the ticket out for you and either post it if theres enough time or you will have to meet up and get it in person

Does anyone know how much an adult ticket costs on the gate? Tried looking on the website but could only see prices for pre-ordered tickets.

Which is frankly a joke. If it was not for the entrants, there would be no show. The car and driver should be free or heavily subsidised, passengers either get a reduction or gate price, as per some other local shows.

Very true that, the Passion for Power show at Tatton Park I attended last year, the driver and 1 passenger was free for anyone showing a car. It was a great show too.

just look at how we are treated by a much smaller show who are actuallly are a deserving cause like uxbridge last week, just £6 per car and covered passengers too where as ford fair turns over massive amounts of money which goes into their greedy little pockets

But to be fair, Silverstone charges simmering like £250k for the day so they have to make it worth their while

I would be happier if it went back to charlbury in oxford, regardless of silverstones charges they still make plenty of money out of every single one of us and for that we get treated badly, as soon as they get payment your no longer important

thing is J the stewards are employed by silverstone and I would very surprised if they refused entry to anyone that produces a ticket, as I would expect war to break out and rightly so, I would ring them to be on safe side as most of the time now their phones are switched onto machine or a simple message,

I am aware if you book as a individual then you get your ticket emailed straight away but if your on a club stand you dont until they email all club orders together as it gives you your stand location and number plate printed on it

The rules state that you need to contact Kelsey to get them amended, but if just turn up on the day and act surprised, it's not like they have a limit on cars like the ace cafe

Besides, the guys on the gate are just there doing a job and they will want the least amount of agro as possible, although last year they had to sell me a free ticket for junior

Don't blame the guys on the gate though, just say you've paid and you have proof, what can they do?

i think the e-tickets are better and more cost effective which hopefully will be passed down the line sometime.

I have 2 track sessions booked but not bought any tickets yet or organised a stand pass. If anyone has space on stand please pm me otherwise I will dump the car in field anywhere i find a space - might print out a broken down to display chances are it will break anyway

thats the point ran nobody will have spare passes, many in the car scene are old skool and dont do computers and these guys have all decided to stay away this year, yes e tickets are cost effective but to kelsey not us and yet they still want a £2 per booking fee
