If you go on fords website you can check which phones are compatible and which aren't. Not all phones have all the functions available through sync.

We've had loads of issues like this. Guided diagnostics does a reset of the APIM module (aka sync module) and also the FCDIM and this normally cures it for a couple of months. We haven't yet got an update to cure it. Surely 14 plate this would get done under warranty??

Thankyou for the info mate appreciate it.yes it should be under warrenty but our local ford dealer are asking for Ł60 for an ecu update so just wanting to speak to the service manager.
Like o said above on the vauxhalls weve got similar issues and theres an update for them but only certain radio sets and not others wich i find odd.

An ECU update wouldn't sort your issue and even so an ecu update done within your 3 year warranty should be none chargeable as long as it's done to cure a customer concern.

This may sound a little old school but we have also found that disconnecting the battery and leaving it for around 10 minutes can sometimes sort them. You could try this and then rebonding your phone before taking a trip to the dealer

register an account on ford india and download the Firmware update for your radio by typing in the vin number.

It's a ball ache to do but I've just done my Cmax and now I have Spotify on my Dash ETC from my iphone and Siri replaces the Say A Command woman!!
