Got hot air coming from vents even when on cold any ideas?

sounds like the flap in the heater box could be stuck open allowing hot air to flow even when set on cold. The heater box is behind the dash.

If it's like the wife's ka they have a valve that seizes up. Not a dear job but a pain in the arse to get to.
