Had the car for 4 years power steering has always gone heavy when parking as in low rpm.
Stationary you can move the wheel easily but can hear pump working harder near full lock.
Driving around its fine that's why ive not been in a rush to sort it out.
What would you guys say it is?
Can't see it being the rack as it doesn't wonder on the road, pas pump is obviously working just not on low rpm.
Did a clutch on it last month all new ball joints and rod ends that didn't solve it

I think some of the modern pas is pretty poor, my 135i BMW was pretty bad at low engine speeds when parking.

I guess you could do a fluid change and use some quality fluid and follow a good bleed procedure and see if that does anything. Opie oils on here may have a good fluid?

i was thinking on changing the fluid, could a faulty power steering pressure switch cause the problem?
