so i have an escort and want rear discs, but i have abs, was told focus hubs fit the same bolt pattern as my rear beam, great simple done, but wait suddenly i need to machine the hubs to fit the escort abs ring and then drill the abs sensor hole to fit the escort sensor, not so great, but the question that i cannot get an answer to is... why cant i just use the abs ring and sensor that comes with the focus hubs? can i not just cut and wire in the focus sensor wire to the escort sensor wiring?

 

Well the blindingly obvious question is do both trigger wheels have the exact same number of teeth ?

 

you say blindingly obvious but i dont have a damn clue about abs other than what its for, so i have no idea plus, ive not bought focus ones yet because i wanna know what im doing before i do it so i cant compare them

 

Was there a non-Cos Escort model with rear discs and ABS that you could get the parts for? XR3i/GTi/RS2000

 

nah no escort with rear discs came with abs only drums had it

 

RS2000 4x4 had rear discs and ABS IIRC

 

I'm pretty sure of that too.

 

Yeh the 4x4 rs 2000 had rear discs. So did the mk5 rs 2000.
