PUG 306 DT Engine gone bang big style with pics.
Mates car just been tuned up, Running about 180BHP and 211lbf Tourque, One of teh Crank rods snapped 
Apparently a bit of a known issue on the later engines as Pug used Non Turbo Cranks 
Top front of block..... (hole about 15cm tall)
Back of the sump.....
Back of the engine..... (all in all that's a hole over 30cm tall and 10cm wide!!)
"Through" the engine.....
Gearbox.....
The bits.....
Whoops, All happened on the M25

What spec is he running for that CLAIMED power, im presuming his car is a hdi, as its a P3 model
But u need a BIG spec to get 180bhp, and a 180bhp car will have ALOT more tourqe then the figure above, my hdi is only running 135bhp @ the fly, and its got 240lb/ft of tourqe

Its got full Customer I/C Set up, Larey Cams, And Full LPH Injection (Power Shot) Which runs likes Nitrous in Diesel cars, Hybrid Turbo and runs 24psi (So i guess if your being picky its not true power 
)
TBH I really dont have a clue about the car as its not Mine. Have seen teh power graphs from the RR that was done when the car was set up.

Sorry, come accross badly in those above posts, not doubting the power, but it does seem strange, and running that power it's prob the most powerful 1.9 dt in the countary which made me wonder, also the tourqe seems VERY low for that bhp

Gutted! though Pugeot are wankers if they used nor Crank etc. Miunes the very last non HDI pug on a T plate and i got a air box out of a norm 1.6 petrol on mine 
so anything is possible i suppose

best part is the exhaust fumes smell like when you follow a dustbin lorry so you really dont want to follow this car down the road (When its working
)Forgot to mention the exhaust is a Straight through pipe Turbo back, no boxes to a FRST Back box (Which is so small its not really worth having)

Nope Gods Honist, Its What HGV Lorrys have fitted to give them the extra grunt to get up hills and overtake and stuff

Nah lpg is not that uncommen on deisels, it has EXACTLY the same effect as NOS, but is cheaper, easier to re fill and insurance companys dont hate it like NOS

When it used to drive past on full chat it sounded like a Jet fighter with teh gas on and a straight through pipe
He has just bought a New engine still on the pallet for £800 so that goes in soon and it will be back on the road.
