Guys and Girls
What was the original colour of Ferrari's please?
I always assumed red but am being told it was originally yellow and red only came along with the Marlboro association with F1.
Can anyone confirm or deny.![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
forgot to add, any concrete evidence would be good as well, i.e site reference. Had a look on the Ferrari site but to no avail

i dont think the prancing horse is there original logo,,,,
i think they use is because a friends family of enzo, was a world war two fighter pilot who lost his life,,, but he always had the prancing horse on his plane! so enzo started putting it on his car

I thought it was due to the international racing colours.
Eg: Italy - red
Germany - silver
Britain - green (hence british racing green and failed Jaguar F1)
France - blue (blue renault F1 cars)
Cant remember any others off the top of my head. I think Germany may have been white originally but stripped the paint off the silver arrow mercedes to save weight!

the first ferrari's were red
alledgedly....ferrari started scuderia ferrari as a way to get members racing and used alfa romeo cars, some count and countess gave him there sons flying emblem as he was an italian flying ace(the black prancing horse on a yellow background) this emblem was used on a red background for the benefit of alfa romeo.........when ferrari split from alfa to create what we today know as ferrari he carried the colours with him..............the first road car the 125 sport was only available in Red
