Sierra Rear Brake Options + Memory Loss!
G'day people, used to be on here a lot and I would usually know the answer to my question, but I have since forgotten
What are my options for Sierra rear brakes on a hatchback (2.0 GLX so already has discs on the rear)? Brakes are good enough as standard but the calipers are sticking and the discs could do with replacing so looking at upgrade options. If I remember right, Cossie 4x4 calipers and carriers will bolt on and hand brake cables are interchangeable between saff and hatch?
Thanks in advance

A standard Sierra will have 253 mm solid discs. You can upgrade to 273 mm solid discs from a 2wd Cosworth but you will need the hub carriers from the Cosworth. Another optioneel is the 273 mm vented discs from 4x4 Cosworth, but again you need the hub carriers for the bigger discs. The other option is 253 mm vented discs from a Scorpio estate, you will only need calipers in that case. The handbrake cable will always fit.

At £150+ for them, plus that again for calipers then discs and pads think I'll be sticking with the standard stuff for now. Damn Sierra stuff is getting pricey these days!!
