Default Courier a bonnet to Northern Ireland

I sold my 4x4 bonnet and agreed to send but I wasn't aware the guy was in NI or that carpartcourier didn't have the option to send a bonnet to NI (strange as they send all sorts of other car bits to NI...)

Paisey Freight no longer send car body parts

Anyone know another courier that will send?

biggest issue with sending body panels and glass is most couriers will not insure them against damage so many simply refuse to handle them and for good reason. best of luck

someone has offered to by 3dr cossie bonnet but they are in italy - ive told them to sort their own courier but even then, wrapping it will be a right pain in the ass so i may just tell him its local pick up only - i cant find a box big enough without having to goto random body shops or other places to see if they have any packaging and even then how the fook am i gonna carry all that on a pushbike

Most couriers just won't touch (even tried the one suggested by sideways) but carpartscourier would have sent to mainland UK just not NI... I've gone back to the guy and said than unless he knows of a courier then I'll just have to refund him...

No harm done, just a pain

Just tell him to arrange his own courier if you are happy enough to pack it up. There are plenty of couriers over here will do pick ups from the mainland as it means their lorries arent empty coming home. Ive never had panels lifted but ive had wheels etc so im sure they will do it.

Yeah that's what I've done, said if you can arrange or even just give me name of company I'll sort otherwise I'll just send his money back.

Unless you're going to put it in a solid/secure wood crate...it will get damaged.

Yeah I hadn't realised his location when I agreed to send, I've refunded his money now and put it on eBay again

deffo collection only-esp with p/pal always siding with the buyer-even if you put transport at own risk etc you are likely to get shafted-bound to be somebody in scotland that wants a decent 4x4 bonnet-that one was pretty solid too iirc

with ebay folk also tend to ignore the collection only then expect you to post its a pain..

I stipulated the terms on eBay but yes I might change the advert to collection only as there must be someone local ish that wants a solid bonnet with vents.

Tony that's the 2wd bonnet fitted now, new rear arches welded in and bonnet and both sides painted. Finally getting the car to how I want it
