Default 909 build up escort cosworth selling issues?

i am the owner of a 909 built up escort cosworth, with a logbook that the make states escort cosworth, (special notes section of logbook states , kit built/converted assembled from parts which may not be new)
i might be looking to sell the car, and am curious as to know the overall opinion or issues or effect on value being a 909?
its a straight car and in my time has had around 4-5k thrown at it with services and head gasket replacement due to being unknown, all new silicone hoses, intercooler, ally rad, coilovers, bosch 023 pump, massive brakes all round and nice wheels etc.
its a sorted road car having recently been live mapped at msd to 380/380 with print outs, im curious as to what kind of value it holds?
i know what it owes me, and realistically i dont want to sell it, but its a shame it doesnt get used alot.......

tbh, all cars have a question mark over their history.........
ive always bought cars on their condition and how they appear to me physically when i am infront of it.....
ive got another cossie with a folder full of history but its absolutely minging and needs a restoration job, of the two i'd prefer the 909 if i was looking at them side by side yet as the mingerhas more history its more valuable?

What's a 909 cosworth? Is this something special, a limited edition, a rare model type or rouse special, a factory brooklands build or wot?

it will have been built for a new motorsport or trimmed shell
ford sold them like this at the time to rally teams etc

Yes in some cases, you had to prove a certain percentage of the car was new

It only effects value to those who are not clued up, many 909s out there actually built better than ford did so as long as you have its history and correct spec cant see it being a issue

I would buy on condition I think but with values on the up,I would also have an eye on the resale value to make sure I wasn't paying over the odds. Loads of Cossies have odd histories so I don't think this would be a massive issue. It would benefit from a good inspection by rsoc or similar anorak club so you have someone saying how it fits the bill. If not a good engineers statement inspection from a respected source where they put their name to an approval...maybe reyland or mad etc....

It might be worth a bit less than an "original" escort cossie, but it should still hold a good value, it wouldn't put me off personally if I was in the market for an escort cossie.

Wouldn't put me off the car I don't think.

Maybe not be as willing to pay quite so much for it but wouldn't hesitate to own such a car if it was a good one

I think the new rivets on the body tag would make me a bit suspicious, why has it been off? At the very least I'd paint them. Car does look nice though and wouldn't put me off if its a genuine car.

The rivits should be painted, the tag says gruppe a or n and LHD or rhd.
even cars built by the best had special notes on the v5.
I saw a Malcolm Wilson Motorsport built Escort Coz for Martini and Jolly Club that said built from new parts in the notes section.
The address of the original Italian owner was like a 10 million quid gaff in Knightsbridge too.
That's how it was back in the day..
