sorry i couldnt get back to you before, but i'm only able to access internet at work at the mo. anyway my contact at FMC says that dealers are not taking orders for Diesel engines from Priviledge customers/ there are delays and shortages on Keyless entry models as well as those with Automatic transmission with the keyless entry. also delays on those orders wanting Stone leather interior. there is a European shortage on Certian types of Diesel Automatic engines, namely the Stage 4 DPS TDCi.
if you dealer has listened and put your order in as you asked for the stage 3 and you havent asked for the above, then i cant see why the delay. try and get a VIN number out of them when the car is SERIALISED. if you can get that, PM me the details and i'll try and get it on the move once it's gate released!
Cos that's the kind of helpful gal i am!

ah that may be the problem, i've ordered through work fleet so will probably come under the privaledge account.
i've ordered a euro 3 2.0 16v TDCI 3 door in magnum grey - so pretty standard.
although I have noticed that the stage 3 has been removed off www.ford.co.uk now on the build your own spec thing? they trying to make everyone go euro 4?!
doesnt matter too much to be honest as im getting a tax break by not having the car yet, but its a bit frustrating as id like to have one well they still look like a new car!! :blub:
cheers for the offer of help though!! top gal!!

To be fair I quite like the look of the 3 dr and it's certainly growing on me.
What do they handle like? As good as the original?
Have you picked the colour yet?
Ford make really good diesels these days.
