Back in the 90s we used to drop our mk3 escorts and orions 60mm on 15" wheels but u couldn't have anyone in the back and it trashed the car lol, better off with a 30mm drop on 16" wheels I'd say

Getting abit lost here

If i buy standard escort lowering kit with dampers it will lower it by 60mm as its not lowered at all as its standard mk3 escort

If i buy a rs turbo lowering kit with dampers it will lower it by 30mm because its all ready lowered 30mm so 60mm in all

So there both the same items really iv posted

So will a 60mm drop as mine isn't lowerd at all be ok

I can't find just a 30mm drop so it will sit the same as a rs turbo all i can find is a 60mm or nothing

I won't it to sit the same as a rs turbo just with uprated suspension

All i wont to do is lower my standard mk3 1.3 escort 30mm and thats it same as a rs turbo

If i buy a 60mm drop will it be ok with my 16 inch alloys

I imagine the rs turbo front struts won't fit in your hubs as they'll probably be bigger but I could be wrong. I'd just buy a second hand rst set up and if u can get the front struts with hubs and all the brakes then you'll have a brake upgrade too although someone may have to tell u if the 1.3 driveshafts will go in the rs turbo hubs ok?

they never drop the car the amount they claim anyway...plus it must have sagged over the years

as for 16" alloys ...well theres lots of differant widths , offsets and tyre sizes so anybodys guess really

Iv got 195/45/r16s on it

So you don't think a rs leg will fit a 1.3 hub

Cant get my hands on it all as i was going to fit all the rs suspension hubs drive shafts etc but there's only 1 leg on ebay at mo

Stuck for now

I think they are the same size, it's a 40mm strut from memory

The differences between models is the anti roll bar size and setup
