They are a similar carb, not a bad carb at all (some people reckon fuel economy is actually better than a weber), but not sure how easy to come by spares are to come by. No reason why they wont work on a CVH with the right jets etc for your engine and its state of tune.

Hi mate, I had dellortos on my old cavalier and they were a nightmare, every week I was setting them up untill my boss noticed I was always playing with them and he then told me he was an ex rally car tuner when they used these carbs and he said the dellortos were really only designed for race use and they need constant setting up to keep running right whereas the Webers can be set up a lot less often. Only my own experience mind

Sounded the bollox but used loads of fuel and was slower than all the 2.0sri ones I had back in the day

Yeah I'm into all makes and models mate not just fords, I've had a few mk2 Astra gtes which is one of my favourite cars of all time. I'm not keen on vw, Audi (apart from 80s Quattro) or skodas but pretty much like anything else lol. Decided just to lock the Cossie away for now untill I decide what to do with it. Prob decided against the rat look but it would have Been a laugh

Same here mate i love all cars too, even really old stuff. Old Vauxhall's are cool, when we was in the UK my parents had a Colton and that was lovley car. I also don't Iike vdubs and i hate audi's with a passion. Have you got a pic of your cossy cos I don't think i have ever seen it??!! I am thinking about doing the same with my escort rs2000 as it cough fire. Bit heart broken with it so I could do with a break from it for a bit, that will give me a chance to crack on with my fiesta.

I cannot for the life of me remember why, but they are indeed better on fuel than Webers. I think Webers will also make a touch more top end but it's really negligible.
