Digita1dragon, try to rent the DVD if you can, there is a normal and an extended version, then see for yourself.

It is an acquired taste, some love it some hate it (just like marmite really).

When it came out in france, it was a huuuuuuuuuuuge success, some people couldn't get enough of it and returned to the cinema time and time again to see it, there apparently was a special screening in paris, where they simulated sea scents in the cinema to enhance the experience further

cool, well im bidding on a few extended dvd versions on ebay at the mo! Ill probably love it, id be surprised if i didnt!

Bought the original Back to the Future on DVD last night too
