Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew the best place or possible places cheaper than ford to get a remote fob programmed for the car. I only had the one remote and wanted a second in case it is lost.

Can only assume previous only had lost one.

Hi its a focus st2, i only have the one remote fob with key. as i dont have two keys does that mean i cannot do a diy programming and will have to use ford or the like

 

most key cutting places can duplicate keys now for around 100

 

Get it to ford and have it reprogrammed and maybe even the locks changed. It's a very common scam that someone will sell you a car with one key, they keep the spare then come round your house and take the car away.

 

i will get it reprogrammed will this also deactivate the existing key that is floating around from starting the car?
