welded rear diff help please guys
hi guys i have a sierra p100 im converting to a 4x4 2.8 i have all the running gear minus the rear lsd diff and they seem to be quite pricey. ive been told i can use a standard 3.62 diff and weld the planet gears together to get constant drive on both rear axles is this ok to do and will it be road legal and how reliable any help would be much apreciated cheers
Don't think it's legal anywhere. Normally a cheap way to get anything 2WD to go around easy. Supposed to be a nightmare to drive on the road as it will be skidding all the time. Hey I'm no expert in the matter, just what I heard.
Most young gobshites over here do it. Loads were caught at the Donegal rally there a short while back. Muppets.
