Hello Y'all,
I've been reading this months Performance Ford, and within it's pages they have a section about Zircotec and I wondered if I could ask the groups members if anyone had used them and noticed any benefits.
It's just I was thinking of having my ST170 manifold done in some kind of GOLD colour, and understand it can reduce under bonnet temperatures by 33%, and as I run a Pipercross open filter (with cold air feed), I just wondered if it would help. Also am I crazy in thinking of having the rocker cover done, as I'm not sure if these two parts are designed to release heat, and would blocking it in make any difference ?
The other factor is, I use my ST as my 5 day daily, so would it be better to send a stock mainifold that I could have coated and then swap it over with mine (i.e buying an additional one) or should I pick up a performance manifold ? as I often hear that the stock one is the best for the engine/car performance.
Cheers for any input.
