My temp mk3 Mondeo 2litre has suddenly started revving itself to 3000rpm. Most likely candidate seems to be the PCV pipe under the inlet. Anybody done this repair and how much of cnut is it? About to sell it and want it right before it goes.

 

ive got the same job to do on my mates Focus so let me know how much of a cunt it is!

 

Will it definitely be that? A diesel's air flow isn't regulated with a throttle body, what makes it rev is just to add more fuel.

 

Hope so but it's a petrol so not sure where else to look if it's ok

 

Oh yes sorry not sure why I thought it was a diesel. I guess when someone says mk3 Mondeo I just think of the bag of shite tdci
