Fitted long studs and when bolting the head down one stretched 2mm rather than torquing.
Has anyone else ever come across this, or have I just had a dodgey one
Burton long studs, torqued to their recommendation 95lb.

What diameter are they ?
And is the torque wrench correct and calibrated ?
I've had regular ARP studs break before when torquing, and I've seen some threads get pulled slightly.
2mm sounds like an awful lot tho and would be scrap now

Are you sure its stud stretched , i have seen threads pull in the block from people drilling block incorrect and then tapping and not having full form on the thread

It is the top section (10mm shank) that has stretched.
All 6 stud collars at the top of the block were still level.
Top of this stud had stretched 2mm higher than the rest.
Upon measuring the shanks other 5 measure 10.00mm
Stretched stud measures 9.80mm at its thinnest.
Also when I unscrewed stud out of the block, no sign what so ever of metal from block threads, nice and clean with traces of the thread lock, so looks fine the block fitment.
Burton are sending me a replacement stud.
Threads on the studs are M12
