Default Eccentric top mounts.

So my rally design eccentric top mounts have play in the bearings already. what are my other options? Don't really want to go too fancy, just a good high quality eccentric mount will be fine.

Could do but they've not done many miles so I'd guess the replacements wouldn't last long either. Just wondering if there is a better quality alternative

is the bearing a tight fit in the housing or has the liner come out the bearing?
if its got movement when its sat in the housing then you need a spacer washer , if not then use a better quality bearing. use mcgills motorsport

cheers paul

I haven't actually taken them off the car yet, but thinking about it last night, i may have another problem. When i first built the car, it had only done about 25 miles before it went in for geometry setup, and i remember them commenting on the top mounts saying the spring was jumping instead of the bearing turning.
think i will pull a front corner off the car and have a look in case it's something daft i have done when I've put it together.

Also I believe they need lubricating regularly so they will turn inside. That might have caused them to fail aswell

There is usually a tophat washer that goes on the strut to locate int he bottom of the bearing then the nut also has a sleeve that locates inside the top of the bearing.

my old compbrake ones did anyhow

Knowing you nuts and bolts maybe loose or not fitted lol
Remember its first outing to Oulton Park with top mounts not bolted down, top plates resting near the bulkhead...
