Default Electronic fuel gauge?

Fuel pump has been completely removed and appears to had a mod ie bigger hole made in the floor to fit a Bosch fuel pump!

The fuel gauge doesn't work but has been gauged to 120 miles to £40

Is there anything I can get that will help me get an exact reading of fuel left in the tank in real time!

Had a few too many sorry if doesn't make sense

Just fix the original fuel gauge? Id the sender is no longer there buy a new one. Fuel pump and gauge sender are separate things.

usually works off an earth, so earth the wire going to the sender to the body, if the gauge goes up to the top showing a full tank then its a faulty sender. if not the wiring to the sender or the cluster itself.

Without a wiring diagram I'm just guessing but you'll have a 12v feed and an earth for the fuel pump which could be checked with a test light. Then the others are likely to be associated with the gauge. Try earthing them and see if your gauge goes up.

You'll need to remove it from the tank to see if someone has butchered it
