Smile My cosworth

Currently running 320 bhp sapphire cosworth broke a driveshaft popped out mainly due to been lowered but now lost drive think ruined differential! Can anyone explain!?

Cheers think be best option needs a lot of work welding now for MOT crap the driveshaft on the way to test station!! Project car now!

Do you mean front driveshaft? Had that on mine, the tripod on the end of the driveshaft failed. Worth checking your engine mounts too...

Thanks yeah heard they can be a problem! Tryed to move the car today seems some drive now but also it's been lowered previously so that can cause problem ! My torpid end failed! Bough a new shaft on other side and having probs with that so it's more like suspension! It's got uprated engine mounts!

put the longer xr4x4 passsenger side shaft in - wont pop out then

That's the wrong way of fixing the problem. Updated engine mounts and it'll be fine with standard shafts. The XR shafts will break if his engine mounts are stuffed.

oh ok - didnt realise it was caused by worn engine mounts.

Prefer 2wd myself

Thanks to be fair has updated engine mounts but I need to get the car back to standard ride height which will help as last guy lowered a bit too dramatically

I have seen that Reyland did an upgrade on one and used the rear bolt on shafts to connect to the front diff, I may look in to it with Bara on my car at some point...clearly the engine mount issue needs to be sorted first...is there a down side to using the vibratechnics one in terms of vibration or harshness?
