Is there any other way other than the Resistance test and the AC voltage test.

Basically we've tried 2 phase sensors, both give a resistance reading of around 580ohms.

But AV voltage is only like .2v instead of 1.5-2v.

We have done these test with 2 wires directly off the phase plug to eliminate and other issues.

Any advise?

 

Need to use a scope, but the gap can vary the voltage, and a worn distributor shaft will bollox the signal totally.

Anyway to check for a worn shaft? Is it a case of just removing it?

 

Set it at 0.3mm and if the shaft moves side to side, its fooked, simple as that
