Default the best car shampoo to get?

best, as in making the car look clean and shiney and protects it after its been used?

ive almost finished my autoglym shampoo and even though its very good on my black car(escort gti) i just wanna try something different and something thats in a bigger bottle than the tiny autoglym ones.

ive heard alot about meguirs on here and was thinking about that?

yeah my dad uses that stuff and i must say it does work very well and my god does it last a long time, its just that it probably doesnt protect the paintwork as well as somthing like autogylm or meguirs would.

I find the Mequiars stuff foams up to buggery which causes it to stick and dry to the paint. Can't fault the AutoGlym stuff myself, sheets off nice and is supposed to protect the drainage channels from rust.

I find the Meguires soft wash gel is lovely and kind, pink, smells lovely and washes off a treat. Been using the Autoglym on the car though.

ive tried loaaaaaads... Good thing with autoglymn, is that it has water repellants, but no waxes - which tend to dry hazy or even take off wax u have applied. Really rate it, where as in a wax i prefer meguiars.
