Default Anyone still got a Mk2 MR2

I know it's not a Ford but just wondered if anyone still had one. I had a T-BAR anniversary one some time ago and it was great. Quite fancy another one just for the summer but I'd have to sell one of the other cars first.

Blimey, not many of those around now. I always preferred the Mk2 though.

My friend had one. Hers was a turbo version. It was a quick car until she lent it to her friend and one of the con rods exited through the block.

Had five MK2 Mr2's in the past, and loved every one.

My first was a REV 2Turbo, with 303bhp;

Second was a G limited auto;

Then got a Uk spec Fe (this still lives with a work mate)

Next was another Turbo;

And lastly (about five years ago), a sonic shadow Rev4 ( still with another workmate )

Also owned a few Celicas. Including a GT4, which was way better than the Scooby I owned.

Have owned a few MR2 mk1 mk2 mk3 including I used to race a mk2 in the 750 motor club MR2 championship.

It's the mk3 you want to get now they are so cheap and they handle so well - like an Elise but for 10% of the price.

The last mk3 MR2 roadster I had cost less than Ł1k and was high mileage but drove just as well as my previous low mileage ones, we did a track day at Castle Combe in it, totaly standard 140,000 miles and it was brilliant on track.

Also no rust to worry about on the mk3.
