IIRC Plug behind the battery is for the clocks - Tacho wire, water temp, oil light.

Lambda plug is there on all 4x4's but only used on the facelift (green cam cover) engines.

IIRC (again ) they are for the Bank of relays under the dash near the ECU.

I take it you are changing to an aftermarket loom?

I'm pretty sure I used those lives for my Prometheus loom. However, the loom we are putting into the old Reyland Cosworth has it's own new lives to connect up.

You'll really have to look at the new loom and go from there!

It won't affect anything. The only 'integrated' bits on an original Cosworth engine loom are the dash clock gauge wires. You can remove the loom everything on the car bar the engine lol will still work

No problem - I've been staring at this for weeks so it's all pretty fresh in my mind

https://passionford.com/forum/restor...-cosworth.html

The looms are actually done quite a smart way by Ford. All the looms seem to be seperate. The ABS system wiring, engine wiring, charging/starter, lights and fan looms etc are all separate bits. Whereas on an Escort they are all together and a massive pain in the arse if you want to change management

Jay are these the colours on that plug - you may not have all those colours.

Green- Rev Counter
Br/Wt- Water Temp
Blk /Red - Fuel Pump
Black - Ignition
Blue - Batt L;ight
Red/Blu- 12v
Brn/Gn- Oil Pressure Light

You can make the connections to your new loom for Rev Counter, Water Temp & Ignition at this plug saves going to the binacle. Just look at your circuit diagram.

If in doubt give us a bell.
