I see that on egay.

Very unusual, and a bargain if they are genuine.

Just to warm others I purchased their 044 pump and it's going back, I've started an ebay counterfeit claim already.

Very good copies but small differences

Middle one is from brands hatch performance

Are you saying the BH one doesnt have the correct writing stamped into the casing ?

That's the problem with fakes these days....nobody really knows who is selling them, even the suppliers !

FFS local B&M stores here had to remove Head & Shoulders shampoo from their shelves because it was found to be fake.

Is there anything people dont try and fake these days ?

The stamping is good but every so slightly different, the biggest and easiest tell is there is no helicoil in the inlet m18 end, other clues are the size is different, the top has different size riser cast markings. The radius on the bottom is different and the profile of the band is in a different place, thinner and not the same profile.

Do you think they knew that the pumps are fakes ? Would you put your reputation on the line just to make a few quid ? Have they offered you any explanation?

Sorry to let you know harryh24 here is the original source of these pumps

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...112559842.html

For anybody worried about their own 044 pump the easiest tell is the inlet end(m18) should have a helicoil

I have no idea if they knew if they were fakes

For a few quid certainly not, BHP dropped the ball and should have been certain, i was doubtful they where genuine the moment it came out of the box.

Got a response yesterday after making it public, no explaination just that they are "sure they are not fake"

Im pissed at myself for this, there were so cheap I knew in the back of my mind it was too good to be true, but BHP are big players in the game and the whole "ex race teams stock" in the advert convinced me to convince myself they would not be counterfeit goods

This is always a concern, we get our pumps directly from Bosch and make very very little profit on them, so im always a bit doubtful when I see pumps cheaper than ours!

It just says sourced, not made.

I've only encountered one non original 3 bar Marelli type sensor, and it's scaling was completely miles off what it should have been. Only good thing was it was installed in a car with an aftermarket ecu so once calibrated didnt really matter too much.

The thing is if they are selling them for such a cheap price what are they buying them for to still make their profit? Surely they should have been suspicious when they bought them that they could not be the genuine ones?

Update.....

Only after contacting eBay directly I'm I getting a refund from BHP regarding the 2 fake fuel pumps. BHP have made no attempt to explain or communicate progress with the refund.

Very poor customer service!

Hello, i also bought a fake 044 fuel pump. I can not make a paypal claim as it has been more than 45 days. I notified ebay and they have looked in tho the matter but they cant let me know what they have done because privacy. He is still selling this fake pumps. Negative feedback on a pump is censored by ebay. I think they make a lot of money on him as they are sureley holding a hand above his head in this matter. I did get a email from paypall that if there are a lot of complaints about this seller they can open a claim against him within 180 days. I hope everyone checks there pump and let ebay know when it is a fake. Maybe whe can all get our money back and buy a real one somewhere.
