sent my stage 2 turbo from s2 off to pts tuesday for a rebuild started smoking alot, i thought bearings and seals!, they said 300 quid via universal turbos...

gotta fone call today saying 'The Core' is fooked and its gonna be 535 quid to rebuild!

anyone heard of this or am i being ripped off!

well if the core is fucked then u need a new turbo rebuild if its just the seals u can get away with it but turbo prices r well hi now then two years back

oh right, pts have been good to me in the past so i shouldnt doubt them really, but its another 235 quid!, at least i will have a new turbo,,

the prices are so dear now, cheaper to get one imported from usa

The core is everything except the housings.
