Default Running short coilovers springs

Has anyone run 6" long coilover springs?
They just seem very short, I currently have 8" springs, but really now require shorter to have the platforms clear my tyres.

It could upset the operation of the damper. It's something to do with the stroke of the unit being in it optimal range. Been doing a bit of work over at leda and there's more to the suspension lark than meets the eye.

Can't see it being an issue to be honest Dave, so long as the poundage is the same, and the spring doesnt go coilbound before the bump stops then it shouldnt make any difference.
We changed the springs on the clio for this reason, drives the same afterwards just without braking your back when landing because the bump stops are actually doing their job now.
Not that you plan on getting the saph airborne thouugh would just be worth working out the available travel from the 6" spring compared with the shock travel.

Shorter springs may reach coil bind sooner. So how much travel do you have once the spring is loaded up on the ground ?

Plus a short spring will also limit droop before the spring falls loose....not to mention overall affect on spring rate

Phone somewhere like Faulkners and chat with them
