Default welding front wings

Hi all I'm gonna attempt to weld on the front wings on my three door.
When I got the shell there was no wings on it and the inner wing lips are a little bashed up! Is there any body shop or welding boys that can give me some tips/ advice to get them right!

First things first hang the doors. align door to ¼ panel and sill. Dress up the damaged inner wing lips using a panel hammer and dolly. Presuming you're mig welding the wings on you'll need to drill holes (6-8mm diameter) for plugging in the areas that are welded. Make sure all welded areas are cleaned back to bare metal, then spray a zinc or copper welding primer over the bare areas. Hang both wings and align them to the doors, when your happy with wing gaps to the doors then hang and align the bonnet. You'll need a good selection of mole grips and be prepared to manipulate the wings to fit, even genuine ford panels of this era can be a pig to fit. When you've got everything in position and ready to weld, tack the wings in place and remove mole grips. Remove the doors and weld. It's only a rough guide dude hope it puts you in the right direction.

Try and get the bonnet gaps the same as the rest of the car. Ford did have big tolerances back in the day. Go with what looks right to you. Usually about 5-6mm. Remember to take your time, if the doors are in the wrong place it'll have a knock on effect with the wings and bonnet.
