Default Mk1 Mexico Type 1
Evening just a query a friend has a type 1 1971mexico . Are these a type 49 chassis ?

Never heard of a type 1 mex. does he not mean mk1 mex and if its a genuine one then yes it will have type 49 body shell the same as a mk1 RS2000. Extra strengthing plates, etc.

Didn't all very early models come with oval headlights to start with?

(Not that that applies to a '71 car....)

I have heard 'type 1' but not for fords . Yes its a genuine Mexico .

No such thing as a Type 1 Mexico as far as I know.

But yes, a Mexico should be a Type 49 shell.
