Default Converting from carb to injection

Just wondered what's involved with turning a cvh 1.6 carb into a 1.6 injection? Thanks

I think it depends on whether your going efi or mfi. The mfi has an external fuel pump but the efi has an internal fuel pump with swirl pot In the tank as far as I can remember so would need that tank and fuel lines for efi. Think we need to know what injection system your gonna use first

I'm not sure on what injection system as it's just a car I was looking at buying and it's just a 1.6 carb at the min but if it's going to cost to much I may have to re think if I want it.

I think if it was me I'd do like what I did to my old xr3 and fit twin 40 webers to it or the twin choke weber carb off the xr2, it went quite well on that and I plumbed in the coolant automatic choke

The only thing with that is getting a good used carb now is going to be fairly hard I would of thought but I'm not sure what's on it at the min it might even have one as I know it's got a k&n filter on it

Cool best to see when u get it then. I had a 2.0 pinto jet in my carb, was told by the other mechanic at work he used to do it back in the day, can't remember if it made any difference though lol :-(

Well after speaking with the owner and finding out a bit more he's told me that it's covered in fish eyes so it's going to be a no go now as it's going to cost to much to get it to how I want it.
