Default Mounting floor mounted pedal boxes.

How has everyone else mounted theirs? The Tilton website says to use an M8 fastener and a large washer but surely the floor pan will flex on an Escort?

I was thinking about stitch welding two 6mm thick bars (similar to the files I've sat it on) to the floor and bolting the box to this, or is that a bit overkill.

Also, the pedals need to be vertical when depressed, so angled toward the driver when not pressed. Is that right?

That looks the part. Do your feet sit on a false floor in front of the pedals?

You'll be surprised how much force you put through the pedal box

Mine is mounted on a false floor (approx 70mm high) and has similar bracing to MKs underneath. Held in place with high tensile socket cap bolts.

That looks good as well. I thought some "large washers" wouldn't do the job. Another bit of fab work to sort out! Good job I enjoy doing it!
