The tracker stuff was nothing new. The ebay gps blockers arent good enough for modern trackers either. Although you can get proper gps blockers but they aint cheap.

Also a lot is down to aerial location. Remember a car is a farraday cage to an extent so you often don't get the best signal inside the car so its easily blocked. Usually decent trackers have a seperate remote aerial put on the perimeter of the car for that very reason and as its technically in effect outside the farraday cage, most cigar lighter blockers won't be powerful enough to wipe out the signal.

Plus you need to block the right frequencies. Decent trackers dont just use oldschool gps but also the new l2c frequencies as well as glonass (russian equivilent) and soon will be using Galileo (europes answer to gps).

The cheapo blockers/jammers wont block all of the frequencies plus you need a seperate jammer for GSM signals too and all the same problems that has.

Its a game of cat and mouse.

Although the majority of the programme was obviously staged and fake the bit with the guy with the walking stick (can't remember his name) is a good thing to put kids off having this type of lifestyle. I was trying to feel good for him as he's trying to sort himself out and then he starts bragging about what he used to do, then I lost all hope lol :-(

I said to my missus as soon as he started on the black box on that mondeo that he wouldn't get it started without the chipped key. Then they said about needing the key to start it and then went onto burglary to get the key. I reckon it'd be safer for the cars to have no immobilisers so the fuckers don't burgle your house. A cars replacable but your family's not if they break in tooled up and u catch them :-(
