I have one fitted in my car and my mate has one in has track car to.
Which is a stroke of luck for him as while on the rolling road it popped back
And blew the plenium off spraying fuel all over the bay and
Igniting , they instantly pulled the exstingisher but in the short time ( seconds ) it had already done some damage inc " belting the kit on the rear arch

Don't think they are there to save the car

Just buy you a bit of time to get out

This.
But something is better than nothing. I would go with something like this.
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motors...ystem-4-25-ltr
mounted in the boot, with all the pipes etc. run under the carpets. I personally wouldn't bother with nozzles inside the car, just cover the engine bay.
If it ever gets set off accidentally it is a lot easier to clean up!
plus the only real fire risk inside the car is the wiring and unless you spray it up under the dash you aren't really going to do much.

since they banned all the decent firefighting medias like halon etc the best you can hope for is extra escape time.

Even the foam systems now are environmentally friendly foam which just doesnt work as well as the old school AFFF. The new gay eco shite just doesnt make such a big foam and it doesnt stick as well and for as long.

Ignore any bullshit they come out about it being best foam etc as it isnt. During my navy fire fighting training ive used both next to each other and the difference is considerable.
